Everyone has something to give. This could be your place to start.
More than giving your time
Meaningful volunteering starts with listening. Work alongside people who understand their communities, share what you know and stay open to what you can learn.
From encouraging a learner to helping prepare an outreach day, thoughtful, consistent support can make everyday work go further.

How it works
Share your interests, skills and availability through the application below.
The Foundation reviews applications alongside project needs and gets in touch when there is a match.
Discuss the role, location and practical arrangements with our team before making any commitments.
Plan your involvement
A little planning helps everyone. Use these conversation starters when discussing a role with our team, especially if you will be travelling to Ghana.
Ask about local customs and everyday life in your project community. If you plan to explore in your own time, agree your volunteer schedule first and arrange personal activities separately.
Agree the tasks, project location, time commitment and who you will work with. Share relevant experience and any access or support needs so these can be discussed in advance.
Confirm accommodation, meals, transport and any costs directly with the team. Ask what is available and what you will need to arrange yourself before booking anything.
If travelling, confirm your placement first. Check current entry requirements with the appropriate authorities and discuss arrival logistics, insurance and personal preparation before departure.
Discuss project expectations, privacy and appropriate conduct. Follow the team’s guidance, respect people’s consent for photographs and only take on tasks suited to your skills.
A few helpful answers
Your circumstances matter. If you have a question about a particular role or your plans, speak with our team before you decide.
Ask us a questionTell us what you can offer, even if this is your first time volunteering. General support can draw on everyday skills such as organising, listening and working with others. Specialist roles depend on the relevant experience and qualifications.
Share your preferred start, length of involvement and weekly availability in the application. Whether you are interested in an outreach day or ongoing support, the team will discuss what fits the project. Dates and placements need to be agreed before you make plans.
You can share your interest and country of residence through the form. Before booking travel, contact the Foundation to discuss whether a suitable role is available, the location, dates and any practical arrangements you would need to make.
These arrangements are not confirmed by submitting an application. If you are travelling, ask the team about accommodation, meals, local transport and arrival arrangements, and agree who will organise and pay for each item before committing.
Discuss any project-related costs directly with the Foundation. If you are travelling, also clarify your personal budget for travel, accommodation, food and transport. Request a clear breakdown of any agreed costs before confirming your involvement.
Choose your main area of interest, or select that you are open to any program. Use the message field to mention other interests. The team can then consider your skills and availability alongside current community needs.
Your application is saved for the Foundation to review. The team will contact you when there is a suitable opportunity to discuss the role and next steps. Applying expresses your interest; it does not confirm a placement or travel arrangements.
