Korklu’s Foundation Empowers Persons with Disabilities Through Soft Loans in Partnership with CBG

Driving Inclusive Economic Empowerment and Creating Opportunities for Sustainable Livelihoods

On Friday, 11th September 2026, the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture became a centre of hope, opportunity and empowerment as Korklu’s Foundation, in partnership with Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), provided soft loans to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to support and expand their businesses.

The initiative represents another important step in Korklu’s Foundation’s commitment to promoting inclusive development, economic empowerment and equal opportunities for all members of society, regardless of ability.

For many entrepreneurs with disabilities, access to affordable financial support remains one of the major challenges preventing their businesses from growing. Through this intervention, Korklu’s Foundation and CBG are helping to break down these barriers by providing beneficiaries with the financial support needed to strengthen their businesses, expand their operations and pursue greater economic opportunities.

The impact of this initiative goes far beyond financial assistance. It is about creating hope, restoring confidence, promoting dignity and empowering individuals to become economically independent.
